Custom Decks Built for Colorado Living — Arvada & the Denver Area

Composite and wood decks designed and built by one owner-led team — engineered for Colorado sun, snow load, and freeze-thaw, and integrated with the patios, pergolas, and gathering places around them.

A deck that belongs to the whole design

Most deck builders stop at the ledger board. We design the deck as one part of a complete outdoor living experience — how the stairs land on the paver patio below, where the pergola shades the seating, how the railing lines frame the view from the back of the property. Because we design and build everything ourselves, the materials, colors, and levels all agree with each other.

Composite or wood — engineered for this climate

Colorado is hard on decks: intense UV at altitude, snow load, and dozens of freeze-thaw swings each winter. We build with premium composite decking for low upkeep and colorfast decades, or with wood where its warmth suits the design — always on properly sized footings and framing that meet local snow-load requirements.

What does a custom deck project cost?

Our decks are usually part of complete outdoor projects starting around $35,000 — a deck alone, or a deck tied into patios, walls, lighting, and plantings. After an on-site design conversation, you’ll receive a clear, itemized proposal for the full scope.

Deck questions, answered

Composite or wood — which should I choose?

Composite wins on maintenance: no annual staining, no splinters, and colors that hold up to Colorado sun. Wood costs less up front and takes stain beautifully, but asks for regular care. We bring samples to the design conversation so you can decide with the materials in hand.

How long does a deck build take?

Once the design is finalized, permits are approved, and materials arrive, most decks are framed and finished in two to four weeks — longer when the project includes pergolas, lighting, or a patio below. We build the schedule with you before work begins.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. Decks in the Denver metro typically require a building permit, and we manage the drawings, submittal, and inspections as part of the project.

Do you design as well as build?

Yes — we’re a design-build team. The same owner-led crew that draws the deck sets the footings, frames the structure, and finishes the railings, so the finished deck matches the design.
